HCMCOU Journal of Science - Advances in Computational Structures (ACS) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal established in 2024 as a specialized journal developed from the Ho Chi Minh City Open University Journal of Science, founded in 2006. The Journal is dedicated to advancing knowledge and innovation in computational mechanics, structural engineering, and intelligent computational methodologies for solving complex problems in structural systems and civil infrastructure.
The Journal publishes high-quality research that makes significant contributions to the development and application of mathematical models, analytical and numerical methods, computational algorithms, simulation techniques, experimental methodologies, and data-driven technologies for the analysis, design, optimization, and performance assessment of structural and infrastructure systems. ACS particularly encourages studies integrating theoretical analysis, numerical simulation, experimental validation, and digital technologies to enhance the safety, reliability, resilience, sustainability, and operational performance of engineering systems.
ACS places particular emphasis on research that develops novel computational methodologies, provides new scientific insights into existing analytical and numerical approaches, or demonstrates substantial advances through rigorous mathematical analysis, numerical simulations, experimental evidence, and well-designed validation studies. Submitted manuscripts are expected to advance the state of the art in computational structural engineering and related disciplines while demonstrating the potential to generate meaningful impact on both engineering research and professional practice.
The Journal serves an international community of researchers, academics, engineers, practitioners, and professionals working in computational mechanics, structural engineering, infrastructure engineering, and related interdisciplinary fields.
